Lol hey fam thanks for reading!! Jesus said we shld go into all the world and preacht the gospel. He knew very well that we wld encounter ppl of different cultures. We all dont have to become jews to be christians. We can come to God no matter our culture. That applies to the hip hop/rap culture. This means u need to really produce spirit-filled songs that they cant deny the fact that God is using you!

I believe I have been blessed with the gift but reading this has also help me understand what I have been commissioned to do. God bless you my brother. #ThestereotypesMehnnnnn

Eph 4:29(NLT)
Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.

I believe if we live by the words above we won’t try to justify cussing. I personally tell my friends not to cuss around me… No matter how emotional they are getting… I believe it isn’t right…God bless you Eli. Thanks for encouraging me to push my very worthy course….(psstt… Is that how ‘course’ is spelt…lol)

making a CONSCIOUS effort NOT TO cuss/curse in speech.

I’m very guilty of that when I’m very disgusted by a situation or attitude and want to express such an emotion.

I remember writing a poem on my blog to express my frustrations about not getting the needed support for my ambition in poetry from significant people in my life.
I cussed twice in the work to show how angry I was about everything. Nevertheless, I felt some remorse after for using such words, so I had note at the end of the work apologising for using such words.

I know not to use such words. And I know that I can choose (better) not to use them but…

So the next time I wrote a poem expressing frustrations, I thought to be creative about it–not to justify its use but to show that a lot of people will likely use such words in those kind of situations I was painting with my words. The creativity I applied was also to show my gradual decision to eventually stop using such words, thus to find a better way of expressing whatever I needed to say.

You should’ve seen how offended I was when a member of the audience later said, “Ah, this is the guy who said fv^k.”

I replied in my head, “No, that’s not what I said…It means you weren’t listening.”

Bottom line. Avoid it because you can.

Finally, back to the title, “Can a Christian use the word sh#t in a song they wrote?”

Grammatically, the answer will be, “Errr, CAN one? Yeah.
But from a keener perspective, “SHOULD one?” “Uhuh, no”

?
